Change Over Time: 1.US.1.1. Identify ways people, places, and things change over time. Larissa Johnson

People Change The human life cycle. (in short) We actually start in the womb of our mothers. Bones, Muscles, and our organs grow with us, and help us perform our daily functions. Further along in the cycle we start to lose what we have strengthened since birth: Muscles lose their mass, bones grow weaker, and our organs start to reach their full capacity and have more troubles.

Not all of us are going to look as fabulous as we once did, but there are some benefits. The older you get the more you can get away with things. You forget the things that don’t matter. You can blame more things on forgetfulness and many more things.

If you kept the same haircut… Most of the time you won’t…

Fabric White fabric if not bleached will eventually fade to a cream or yellow color. Since our eyes grow accustomed to the gradual change of colors we only really notice them if someone points them out, or they are set next to a fresh fabric sample. Other fabrics can be altered if they are kept out in the sun for too long. One way they are altered is the threads will start to become thinner and thinner when exposed to the elements. With the sun only fabrics start to lose their original colors, fading into pale versions of themselves. The same can go for the coloring of our teeth. No they will not always be white just because you brush them. We all know they need to be maintained.

Fashion/Clothes Decade to decade there are apparent style preferences. Just over the past 100 years we see the styles gradually grow from fairly simple, bizarre, some ugly…, to a very modern look. Wedding gowns show a very fun amount of difference as we can see in the video.

Movies Cinematography started with black and white pictures only, then over time evolved into what we now know as High Definition Color. We even see the change in the style of artwork on the movie posters. What once started as comic book looking drawings has turned into more works thought up using photoshop.

Music What started as mostly hymns or classical music evolved into: Rock Christian R&B Contemporary Hip Hop Techno Rap Dance Polka Celtic (or any other culture) Emo or Punk And many, many more sub-genres. Country Regae Oldies Alternative

Album covers Even in album covers we see changes. The designs, songs, inspirations change with each album. Most of the time the band name stays the same though.
