Life Insurance Second Opinion A Complimentary Life Insurance Second Opinion Do you advise your clients to get a second opinion before purchasing a life insurance policy? Life insurance is a critical asset in personal and business planning. But policies can be complicated, and agents can be inexperienced and sales-driven. A second opinion will ensure your clients are acquiring the very best life insurance coverage, custom-designed to meet their specific goals and budget. It is best practices to get a second opinion from other trusted professionals on major decisions and transactions. Acquiring life insurance coverage is a major decision for most clients and making the wrong decision can have a significant long-term consequences. Choosing the proper type, amount, structure, ownership and funding of life insurance requires in-depth access to and knowledge of products and carriers. By combining your knowledge of the clients with our specific expertise in the life insurance field, we can ensure they are acquiring the best life insurance product available for their specific situations. If other options should be considered, we will explain the choices, suggest alternatives, and make recommendations to help your clients reach their goals. Grant, Hinkle & Jacobs | 777 S. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Here are some examples where GHJ’s Second Opinion has yielded positive results for clients: BEFORE GHJ SECOND OPINION Agent was proposing $10 million 20-year term coverage at standard underwriting rates. Annual premium was $60,385. AFTER GHJ SECOND OPINION Because of GHJ’s accessibility to and breadth of carriers, we were able to secure a preferred rate policy. Annual premium is $34,985 ($508,000 total savings). BEFORE GHJ SECOND OPINION Agent was proposing a policy where the premiums were to be financed by a bank. In order to secure the loan, the client was required to post significant collateral, in addition to the policy itself. AFTER GHJ SECOND OPINION GHJ restructured the coverage so personal collateral exposure was significantly reduced. GHJ secured a lower loan rate, fixed for 10 years, providing the client with more predictability and a far better chance of achieving success with the financed approach over the long-term. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Don’t procrastinate – request a complimentary Life Insurance Second Opinion from Grant, Hinkle & Jacobs today. Grant, Hinkle & Jacobs does not practice law. We strongly urge you to seek the advise of a knowledgeable attorney when planning and implementing any estate or tax planning strategy.
