Superhero Newsletter Mrs. Patton’s September 25, 2017 Important Dates Fri. Sept 29th – Spirit Day Classroom News Writing: This week we will be finishing up our 1st unit in writing. The students will be publishing a small moment story to bring home. Reading: We finished our read aloud, Stone Fox. The students were very surprised by the ending. We will finish up our unit on Building a Reading life this week. Our next unit will be Reading to Learn. Math: We are wrapping up Topic 3 this week. Please have your students practice their multiplication facts at home. Science: Due to weather last week we did not make our s’mores. We are planning on doing that today. Then we will spend some time learning about Energy and how to use is wisely. Literacy Tip For words you do not know what they mean try using “SAGE” (Synonyms, Antonyms, Gist, Examples) to help figure them out.
