Our Story of the weel is Plaidypus Lost. We are also learning a new Program called CapIt to learn our letters and sounds and will soon be using Ipads on our own to learn our letters and sounds! Reading and Literature Story: Plaidypus Lost Comprehension: Sequencing Amazing Words: Plaidypus, lost, market, around, found, groceries Sight Words: the, little, as Phonological Awareness: Syllables Conventions: What we look like Genre: Realistic Fiction Letters: l,g,h,j,e Decodable Book: The Little Toys We are still working on how to rotate in centers. We are starting to introduce Ipads for read aloud stories and Stafall. Math This weeks Essential Questions in Math: When saying any given number, what does the number word mean? Can you represent any given number more then one way? : Writing and Handwriting We are continuing to work on recognizing and writing our names, journal writing, class books and thankful cards. We will start to introduce our new curriculum called Handwriting Without Tears. This weeks lessons are building capital letters with wood pieces and Building Mat Man. .

Important Dates to Remember FRIDAY Bring your favorite stuffed animal to school day!! Since this weeks story is about a little girl who looses her stuffed animal when doing all her everyday activities we thought our students would like to share what they do all day with their stuffed animals and then write a story about their stuffed animals adventures in Kindergarten , Volunteers Once you have completed the volunteer training course, please let your child’s teacher know, so we can start inviting you in to help us in the classroom!
