INTRODUCTION 5th Generation Wireless Technology. Next major phase of mobile tele- communication standard. It would answer all the challenges that the 4G model has. It will change the way by which users access their mobile phones.

CONTENTS Evolution from 1G to 5G Networks 5G Wireless Technology

CONTENTS 5G - Applications Advancements Advantages & Disadvantages Challenges Conclusion

EVOLUTION FROM 1G TO 5G

1G system 2G system Second generation wireless technology Commercially launched in 1991 Provides services like text messages, picture messages and MMS Text messages are digitally encrypted More efficient Transmission speeds up to 64kbps First generation wireless technology Analog voice-only cellular telephone standard Developed in the 1980s Voice itself during a call is only modulated to higher frequency Allows users to make voice calls in 1 country Transmission speed up to 2.4kbps

3G system 4G system Third generation wireless technology Data are sent through technology called packet switching High clarity in voice calls Applications : Mobile T.V, Video Calls, MMS, 3D gaming, Multi- Gaming, etc Transmission speed from 125kbps to 2Mbps Fourth generation wireless technology. Provides voice, data and high quality multimedia in real time form anywhere Offers very smooth global roaming Transmission speed up to 100Mbps

5G WIRELESS SYSTEM Transmission speed of up to 10 Gbps Provides better network coverage Large phone memory, dialling speed, clarity in audio/video Expected to be launched by 2020

5G – APPLICATIONS Network availability at any time, anywhere Its application will make world real Wi Fi zone It will make unified global standard for all Possible to provide uniform, consistent and uninterrupted connectivity across the world

5G - ADVANCEMENT Practically possible to avail the super speed, i.e., 1 to 10 Gbps Provides feasibility to connect 10 to 100 number of devices Worldwide coverage Access time will be 1 millisecond

5G - ADVANTAGES More effective and efficient Provides higher speed and capacity than previous generations Provides perfect utilization of cellular communication in future

5G - DISADVANTAGES Many of the old devices need to be replaced with new one as they would not be competent to 5G Developing infrastructure needs high cost Security and privacy issues

5G – CHALLENGES Lack of infrastructure Technology is still under process and research on its viability is going on Security and Privacy – Protection of personal data needs to be ensured Legislation of Cyber law

CONCLUSION 5G will solve many of the problems of previous generations 5G offers high data rate , universal and uninterrupted access to information, communication, and entertainment at affordable rate The 5G technology incorporates all type of advanced features which makes it the most powerful and in huge demand in future

THANK YOU!!
