WORD ORDER Remember to use the structure when writing: S/N + VERB + D.O Make sure that you are using the correct verb tense. If you are writing in past, USE THE PAST TENSE. Ex: I saw many people suffering. I didn’t see my family for a long time.
USE OF PARAGRAPHS Remember to use paragraphs. Organize your ideas and use paragraphs every time you start a new idea. Leave some space in between when starting a new one.
Punctuation The comma is useful in a sentence when the writer wishes to: pause before proceeding add a phrase that does not contain any new subject separate items on a list use more than one adjective (a describing word, like beautiful) A full stop should always be used to end a sentence. The full stop indicates that a point has been made and that you are about to move on to further explanations or a related point.

THE USE OF THE ARTICLE DEFINITE ‘THE’ Do not say The people, you just say People. THE is used to refer to specific or particular nouns. Ex: Let’s see now the grammar book. In case of people, you use THE to refer to a specific group of people. Ex: The people of the United States.
