Project Erasmus+ KA2 Adults Digital gap threatens social inclusion Collège Juliette DODU Académie de la Réunion 4th Project Meeting Report La Réunion, France, 2nd to 6th october 2017 On 1st/2nd October, the Erasmus partners were greeted at a reception at La Rèunion airport. We had a snack at the Juliette Dodu College, before leaving to visit Saint- Pierre. The whole of Monday afternoon was spent visiting the "Céci-Base" of Saint-Pierre. Mr Pierre REYNAUD and the other staff showed us the premises and their specialised computer equipment, which enables the visually impaired to have access to writing and use of the Internet. We finished at 16h30. On the way back, we stopped at the edge of the lagoon, near La Saline and had a cocktail dinner.

Project Erasmus+ KA2 Adults Digital gap threatens social inclusion Collège Juliette DODU Académie de la Réunion 3rd October, 2017  The first part of the morning was a guided tour of the historic centre of Saint-Denis.  After this, all the participants attended a show representing traditional dances and songs from La Reunion, at the College Juliette Dodu. This was followed by a traditional meal at Bourbon College.  In the afternoon the first working meeting took place in the departmental library. This allowed the participants to take stock of the progress of the project, in particular the implementation within the different countries, and in the structures represented. Also participants completed a questionnaire on the digital divide, -as proposed during the grouping of Madeira.  In the evening, the departmental council of Reunion organised a reception in the departmental library.

Project Erasmus+ KA2 Adults Digital gap threatens social inclusion Collège Juliette DODU Académie de la Réunion 4th October, 2017   During the morning, all the visitors participated in a meeting with the trainees of AFPAR, an association specialised in the professional training of adults. In particular, the device "digital starter" was presented to us; this training device for the mastery of digital tools, targets an audience of young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds and in particular females.  This software helps to prepare the young adults to return to employment after receiving training for 6 months. After this time, the young people concerned can either obtain a job, or continue towards further training using more specialised qualified computer science.  Then everyone had a meal together on site with the director and trainers. This provided an opportunity to extend the exchanges and develop further links and understanding.  The afternoon was spent visiting the village of Hell-Bourg, and the circus of Salazie (waterfall of the Veil of the Bride). A typical Creole meal was then shared in the "Gadiamb" restaurant.

Project Erasmus+ KA2 Adults Digital gap threatens social inclusion Collège Juliette DODU Académie de la Réunion 5th October, 2017  The day started with a welcome in the college Juliette Dodu, with drinks and pastries.  During this reception, Erasmus project participants were introduced to parents and pupils of 6th grade inclusion classes. After a few exchanges, the whole group went to the computer room, where a presentation showed all the aspects of schooling:  absences, notebook of text, results and appreciations - completed by the teachers. Also how the pupils interacted with the software and presented it to parents. Erasmus participants were invited to join this presentation. After this, a meal was shared at the College of Bourbon.  The afternoon was devoted to a working meeting in the "Marguerite Jauzelon" room at college Juliette Dodu. During this meeting, we discussed:  • The balance sheet of the past week;  • The reminder of the questionnaire, which will be up to each participant to complete;  • The preparation of the next groupings:  - Greece, 6-8 March 2018;  - Lisbon, early May 2018;  • The delivery of the attestations concerning the study visit to Reunion Island.  In the evening, a festive and musical meal was held in the courtyard of Juliette DODU College.
