SAMR MODEL Khan Academy is a Augmentation Tech acts as a direct tool substitute with functional improvement Access anywhere- Ex: wireless phone, laptop, ipad Students do not have to be in the classroom. Students can play video over and over again (unlike classroom lecture). Students do not have to listen to the entire lecture Viewers can watch essential elements he or she need help with or explaining. Students can get ahead faster, do not have to wait for the class lecture Free (Do not have to pay for a tutor). Parents can watch the lecture and help their children.

How I use the Technology A requirement for the Masters program is Statistics I used Khan Academy to help me understand distributions and various topics in statistics. I would watch the lectures to help me with homework and to study for tests. If I do not understand the classroom lecture, I can watch Khans online. I can watch it anywhere… It would be impossible to replay my Professors lecture unless I record it ( Professors may not be comfortable with recordings). Allows me to review the lecture as many times as I need.  

Enhancement Add Tests to the website. Add Quizzes for students to test themselves. Adding videos for specific textbooks Allowing other suggestions for solving problems
