USE OF BIOGAS STOVE DURATION (HOUR) USE OF BIOGAS LAMP DURATION (HOUR) Another Renew Energy Project called “Green Loan for Bio-digester” is interested and encouraged farmers to apply What is Bio-digester? There are different types of bio-digester in use. The widely used model is the fixed dome digester buried under the ground. The fixed dome bio-digester consists of digester with a fixed non-moveable gasholder, which sits on top of the digester. In this biogas process, a source of renewable energy is generated such as methane (CH4), bio-slurry, gas for cooking, lightening and much more. The estimated costs of bio-digester depend on different sizes: BIO-DIGESTER SIZE (M3) TOTAL COST (US$) SUBSIDY FROM NBP (US$) FARMER COST (US$) USE OF BIOGAS STOVE DURATION (HOUR) USE OF BIOGAS LAMP DURATION (HOUR) 4 550 150 400 2 - 4 8 - 16 6 620 470 4 - 6 16 - 24 8 720 570 6 - 8 24 - 32 10 800 650 8 - 10 32 - 40 15 1100 950 10 - 15 40 - 60
Bio-digester construction (37 constructed) 4m3 bio-digester total cost $550 (NBP supports $150 & construction technique). It is popular size and cost for community to choose. It is spent 5-7 day to construct. For remaining $, she could assess Green Loan from VDB without interest rate.
Advantages of Bio-digester Busy Life (1F consist of 5-8pax); -1day/week to find wood -Sometimes to pay un-official and not secure -Spend 100-120$/y to buy fire wood. - Compare to huge destroying, it could help a little bit but it is better than not things. Happy Life; 1-Hygiene in the kitchen and Good environment and clean around house. 2-Save money 80-90%/y 3-Save time from collect fire wood 4-Save from Gov. forestry staff &/or harassments 5-Awareness spreading to neighbors & relatives 6-Lighten at night time 7-Making very good compost.
