Summer Matters campaign Statewide coalition that raises awareness and promotes policy 12 communities model quality programming [1 min] SM campaign came together to address summer learning loss across the state. It includes a statewide coalition of advocacy organizations, education organizations, funders, businesses, and program providers. It has also developed 12 communities across CA that showcase quality. These stretch from San Bernardino to Glenn COE to Fresno to San Francisco.

The vision Young people in California have access to quality summer learning opportunities that support year-round learning and well-being.  [1 min] If successfully, Young people in California will have access to quality summer learning opportunities that support year-round learning and well-being.

(6 min) To bring these impacts to life, we created 2 videos – one on CCSS and one on SEL. I’m going to show you the CCSS video so you can see what these strategies look like in action.

Summer Matters can: Present at your county and regional meetings. Feature your leadership through media. Show you model summer programs. [1 min] If successfully, Young people in California will have access to quality summer learning opportunities that support year-round learning and well-being.

We are asking superintendents across the state to sign on to summer learning. Please share this request with your superintendent. The more attention we have for summer learning the more kids have access to great year-round learning opportunities.
