Exclamation Points! An exclamation point is used after some interjections and at the end of exclamatory sentences. Example: Oh no! I just fell down the stairs again for the 7th time today.

Question Marks! Question marks are used at the end of interrogative sentences. Example: Did you fall down the stairs for the 7th time?

Semicolons! A semicolon is used to: Separate clauses in a compound sentence when they are not joined by conjunctions. To separate clauses in a compound sentence that are connected by conjunctive adverbs. To separate phrases or clauses of the same type that contain internal punctuation. Before expressions such as for example and namely when they are used to introduce examples. Example: I sprained my ankle falling down the stairs; therefore, I was not able to play the game.

Colons! A colon is used: -Before a list when terms such as the following or as follows are used -After the salutation of a business letter Example: The things I need to bring to camp are as follows: toothbrush, clothes and lunch.
