How to Use Shape Shifters! Understanding shapes Created by Jen Whiffin

Some tips for using Shape Shifters: Start working with one rhombus.

Experiment with this rhombus! How many ways can it transform?

Two right angle triangles that face the same way make different shapes than two that face in opposite directions!

What shapes can be made from 2 right angle triangles that face the opposite way?

Many other shapes can be made from these 6 basic shapes…

Let’s call this shape the boat. Make 6 boats. What kinds of beautiful shapes can you make using 6 boats?

Let’s call this shape the needle. Make 6 needles. What kinds of shapes can you make using 6 needles?
