I’ve found a friend in Jesus, He’s everything to me, He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul; The Lily of the Valley, in Him alone I see All I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.

In sorrow He’s my comfort, in trouble He’s my stay; He tells me every care on Him to roll.

He’s the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, He’s the Fairest of Ten Thousand to my soul.

He all my grief has taken, and all my sorrows borne; In temptation He’s my strong and mighty tow’r; I’ve all for Him forsaken, and all my idols torn From my heart and now He keeps me by His power.

Though all the world forsake me, and Satan tempt me sore, Through Jesus I shall safely reach the goal.

He’s the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, He’s the Fairest of Ten Thousand to my soul.

He’ll never, never leave me, I’ve nothing now to fear, nor yet forsake me here, While I live by faith and do His blessed will; A wall of fire about me, I’ve nothing now to fear,

From His manna He my hungry soul shall fill. Then sweeping up to glory to see His blessed face, Where rivers of delight shall ever roll.

Walk a Little Plainer, Daddy

“Walk a little plainer, daddy,” Said a little child so frail. “I’m following in your footsteps, And I don’t want to fail.

How Deep the Father’s Love

How deep the Father’s love for us How vast beyond all measure That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure

How great the pain of searing loss The Father turns His face away As wounds which mar the Chosen One Bring many sons to glory

Behold the Man upon a cross My sin upon His shoulders Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice Call out among the scoffers

It was my sin that held Him there Until it was accomplished His dying breath has brought me life I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything No gifts, no power, no wisdom But I will boast in Jesus Christ His death and resurrection

Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer But this I know with all my heart His wounds have paid my ransom
