Anubis God of the Dead Anubis is the Greek meaning for jackal-headed god. He protects the deceased and their tombs. Anubis was the god who helped to embalm Osiris after he was killed by Seth. Thus, Anubis was the god who watched over the process of mummifying people when they died. His wife is Anput and his daughter is Kabeche. Kabeche helped Anubis mummify the bodies. 2. Anubis 3. Horus God of the Sky Horus is a man with a head of a hawk. He is most know for being the protector of the ruler of Egypt. He is the son of the son of Isis and Osiris. When Osiris was murdered by his brother, Seth, he (Seth) and Horus fought for the throne of Egypt. Horus won and claimed the throne. 4
Ra the Sun God Ra has a hawk head and headdress with a sun disk. He was the most important god of the ancient Egyptians. They think he was swallowed every night by Nut and reborn every morning. They also thought he travelled the underworld at night. 5
Isis a Protective Goddess Isis used powerful magic spells to help people in need. Isis was the wife of Osiris and the mother of Horus. Isis is usually seen with Horus on her lap. 7 6
