USMC Logistics Command is in the acquisition planning process of soliciting and awarding potentially three suites of multiple award contracts for logistical labor. We are currently envisioning an 8(a) set aside suite of 3-5 contracts, a small business suite of 3-5 contracts and an unrestricted suite of 3-5 contracts to cover the full range of logistical services. An initial RFI was posted to the FEDBIZOPs on June 20, 2008 to assist us in our planning. As we make progress, we will include updates on this site and on FEDBIZOPs. For reasons of equity and productivity, we cannot entertain individual discussions or meetings on this project. However, we do plan to issue a DRAFT RFP later this calendar year and have an industry day, during which time we hope to have a productive, two-way dialogue with industry.
