College and Career Courses Enhancing Social and Academic Skills Students Undertaking Challenging College and Career Courses Enhancing Social and Academic Skills Hallways Snappy pace to get to class Use shortest route Chart the quickest route to your next class Talk and walk at the same time Always be polite Never stand in the hallway blocking others Get to your classes quickly and safely Cafeteria Stay in your line and don’t skip Understand that cutting in line is wrong Choose to be polite to those you sit with Carry trash to garbage can when finished Eat your lunch in the time allotted Safety first! No running in the cafeteria See to it that you don’t take food or drink out of the cafeteria Parking Lot Stay in your parking slot Understand you will be towed without sticker, insurance or paid fee Careful driving to allow for everyone’s safety Cautiously enter and exit parking lot for student and staff safety Enter and exit parking lot by practicing safe driving skills Slow is always better than fast for safety Show insurance, license, and school sticker when asked Restrooms Sterilize your hands before you exit Use trash cans to throw out paper towels Contribute to clean restrooms by flushing toilets Clean restrooms mean throw paper towels in garbage cans Every time you use the restroom, be sure to have a pass Sanitary restrooms are safe for everyone to use Stop to use Rest Room during hall changes instead of during class Classrooms Study, study, study Understand that you are hear to learn Challenge yourself by participating in class regularly Critical thinking is your goal in all academic and career endeavors Enhance your education - come prepared to learn and participate Success means never letting the opportunity to learn pass you by Succeed academically by giving 100 per cent 100 per cent of the time Auditorium Silence is golden Utilize the space available to allow everyone a seat Choose a seat nearest the front upon entering Carefully exit and enter for everyone's safety Exhibit polite behavior to the speaker or performer Speakers and performers should not be distracted by loud talking Speakers and performers should be given your undivided attention
