Unparalleled Performance and Frequency Range The Anritsu Spectrum Master MS2720T is the most advanced handheld microwave spectrum analyzers on the market, featuring unparalleled performance and size at a modest price. Continuous frequency coverage from –Option 709 – 9 kHz to 9 GHz –Option 713 – 9 kHz to 13 GHz –Option 720 – 9 kHz to 20 GHz –Option 732 – 9 kHz to 32 GHz –Option 743 – 9 kHz to 43 GHz Broadband Preamplifier – all the way from 9 kHz to 43 GHz A handheld, battery-operated design that enables users to conduct spectrum analysis measurements anywhere, anytime. Built-in languages plus two user-defined custom languages –English, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, French, Italian, German, Russian

Paradigm Breaking Fast Sweep We’ve rethought how to do sweeps This yields sweeps that are fast and stay fast when using narrow resolution bandwidth filters. 20 GHz sweep fast mode traditional sweep –3 MHz RBW 1.1 seconds 8 seconds –1 MHz RBW 933 ms 21 seconds –300 kHz RBW 1.0 second 1 minutes –100 kHz RBW 1.5 seconds 4 minutes –30 kHz RBW 2.8 seconds 17 minutes

The Key Points 8 to 10 pound handheld spectrum analyzer for highly accurate field analysis of 3G and other emerging signal types Built-in one-button measurements –Field Strength, Channel Power, Occupied Bandwidth, Adjacent channel power ratio, and Carrier to Interference Ratio, Emission Mask –AM/FM/SSB demodulator with built-in speaker and headset jack Significantly faster sweep speeds then previous generation Best available DANL of -161 dBm typical at 1 GHz in 1 Hz RBW Input protection to +30 dBm Large, daylight viewable, 8.4 inch TFT-LCD display –Color, black & white, night vision, high contrast User-customizable touchscreen multi-language interface USB 2.0 and Ethernet 10/100 interfaces Li-ion batteries deliver long battery life –approximately 3 hours for a fully charged battery with tracking generator off. Rugged explosion-proof design operates from -10 to +55°C

Features and Benefits FeaturesBenefits Instrument automatically sweeps at the fastest possible speed consistent with getting accurate data User doesn’t have to experiment with sweep speed to find one that yields good data. Multi-segment upper and lower limit lines with graphical or numeric editing – up to 40 segments Complex spectrum masks can be created and edited easily Built-in Signal Standards and Channel Numbers (Customer customizable) User doesn’t need to memorize frequency vs. channel # Up to three colored display traces – all three can be live plus one can be used for trace math Allows trace Math functions Traces can be easily seen

Problems solved by the MS2720T Reduces the amount of equipment a technician must take to a site. Covers the frequencies used by all current and emerging cellular, land mobile and WLAN technologies Covers popular microwave backhaul and radar frequencies Measure 5th harmonic of 3G signals Analyzes all leading 3G and 4G signal types. –Firmware is regularly updated as the signal standards evolve Gives engineers a measuring tool that provides lab-quality measurements without breaking the budget or taking too much space LAN interface allows engineers and technicians to gather data and operate multiple instruments remotely. Able to measure filters, cables, attenuators, amplifier, etc. using the tracking generator

For Carriers and End-users Better capability to measure interference –Fewer dropped calls means more revenue for the carrier and gives greater end-user satisfaction Field Strength Measurement capability –Carriers can analyze variations in signal strength to detect areas of poor coverage –Help determine need for additional cell sites or micro-cells to fill dead spots, increasing end-user satisfaction and reduce loss of subscribers Measure 5th Harmonic of 3G base stations Measure microwave backhaul signals Find bursty interferers using Burst Detect mode –Detects pulsed signals 200 µs wide or greater –Great for finding improperly installed cell phone boosters
