Hicksville This week in: We are learning: Week of Oct. 2nd to Oct. 6th Math: Decimals comparing, ordering, and representing decimals with base ten models. Student Learning Goal: 4.N.2.7 Compare and order decimals and whole numbers using place value, a number line and models such as grids and base 10 blocks. Language Arts: Lesson 4 Words-Spelling/Parts of Speech including prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections. Student Learning Goals: 4.5.R.1 I can identify the correct parts of speech, including noun, verb, adverb, adjectives, and pronouns. Science: Investigating Heat, Nonrenewable and Renewable Energy Resources. Student Learning Goals: Energy can be moved from place to place by moving objects or through sound, light, or electric currents. Energy is present whenever there are moving objects, sound, light or heat. Light also transfers energy from place to place. *Thank you to all who participated in walk a thon!
