National Institute of Statistics and Geography INEGI Survey to measure the confidence on the Information published by INEGI (EMECOI 2014) Households – Companies

INTRODUCTION Objective Sample size Informant Selected Reference period According to the results of the survey to measure confidence on INEGI´s information, that was collected in households and companies in 2014. The information presented in this document have comparative data for both households and companies Objective Compare the results of the survey, identifying matches and divergent points between two samples, as well as the positioning, use and confidence on INEGI´s information. The survey was conducted to men and women between the ages of 12 to 75; big and small companies, and those ones dedicated to financial and insurance services. Sample size Household: 3,000. Companies: 3,752. Informant Selected Household: Population between the ages of 12 to 75. Companies: Director/Manager/CEO/Owner of the company Reference period At the time of the interview

Information-Gathering method INTRODUCTION Geographic coverage It comprises the 32 states of the country.   Executing period Households: From May 9 to June 6 2014. Companies: From September 4 to October 31 2014. Information-Gathering method A structured questionnaire designed mostly with multiple choice answers and for specific subjects with open-ended responses. In case of households the answers are supported by the use of cards. Households: Direct interview. Face to face Companies: Telephone

Companies estimated to remember the messages: 2,768,913, of which 2,371,174 issued a favorable opinion. Favorable opinions include: INEGI reporting about its activities; messages are creative, nice, attractive; they are clear, concise and direct; they are good, positive, entertaining. Unfavorable opinions include: misinform, disoriented; generate distrust; lack of dissemination; they are tiring and/or boring.
