Welcome Welcome 803! Look around you. This is your new family. That’s right. In here, we’re more than just a class or team, we’re family.

Classroom Expectations There are 3 rules you are expected to follow: 1. Be Respectful - to yourself - to others - to the environment 2. Be Responsible 3. Be the BEST you can be!

Entering class Arrive on time Line up silently in a single file line outside the classroom before entering Wait for permission to enter and leave the classroom Remain silent and sit in your seat, as soon as you arrive to class

In-Class Expectations The only place you should be leaving your seat to go is to me Independent work means by yourself Stay on-task during independent and group work Submit all work on time

Housekeeping Expectations Nothing should be left in desks when you leave Chairs should be stacked in piles of 6 in front of the bulletin board by the closet, at the end of the day Gum chewing is not allowed at all, EVER

Housekeeping [Cont’d] The environment should be scent-free. I have asthma and I’m allergic to many scents (no BO/foul odours, no Axe, no scented lotions, perfumes/cologne) Slogan: “Hygiene. Don’t leave home or gym class without it.”

Housekeeping [Cont’d] Use appropriate language Actively listen Slogan: “Manners. They never go out of style.”

BYOD Devices are for education not recreation Can only use with teacher permission for a subject-related reason No devices in the hall, during lunch, or at recess If used without permission, they’ll be confiscated and privileges will be lost

Washroom Expectations You must get teacher permission before leaving the room: “May I go to the washroom, please?” You must take the washroom pass with you You must sign out in the sign out book when you leave & sign in when you return
