The County possesses a robust mix of transportation assets Providing access throughout the Midwest Three Class I railroads that connect it with markets in the Eastern United States and Chicago, and regions beyond. Two highways (Indiana 2 — a heavy-haul truck route — and U.S. 20). Proximity to the Indiana Toll Road, with long-range plans to seek a new interchange between LaPorte and South Bend.
