Shoe Box Appeal - This is the last day to bring your shoebox presents in to school. Please ensure the box can be opened to see the contents inside for postage purposes. 16 Nov THU Parent/Carer Consultation Evening at Corpus Christi Primary School from 4.00pm until 6.30pm. Spotacular Day to raise money for Children in Need. Wear something spotty! 50p per child, £1 per family. 17 Nov FRI School Closed for Training Day. 21 Nov TUE Classes 2, 3, 4 & 5 trip to Cineworld at Xscape in Castleford. 24 Nov Annual Take-Over Day where children have a workplace experience of different roles in school. If you are worried or concerned about the well-being of any of our pupils, please speak to a member of our Designated Safeguarding Team: Mrs Walsh, Miss Horkan, Mrs Collins, Mrs Clancy-Taylor, Mrs Currie or Mr Doyle.

This week at Corpus Well Done Lee. Other Faith’s Week To raise money for Remembrance Sunday and The British Legion, Lee made ‘Salt Dough Poppies’ at home and sold them in school. Other Faith’s Week As part of our work for Other Faiths' Week, Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 participated in dance workshops through the day.  Our visitor, Chantelle, spoke to the children about the celebrations which take place at Diwali and taught them some different dance movements to create their own Bollywood dances.  Parents were invited to watch the performances of each class. Parent/carer comment: Really impressed with the dancing and how well they all seem to pick it up in such a short time.  Well done to all involved. Parent/carer comment: It was amazing!  Thank you for the opportunity to see our kids dancing. Reception Places - 2018. Online Application Drop-In Sessions. The Admissions Team, from Leeds City Council, will be holding 4 Drop-In Sessions in the Main Library at the Compton Centre. Someone will be available at these sessions to help with your online application form required to apply for a Reception Place for September 2018 . Please come down to the centre if you feel that you need a little help. Dates: 13th November 11am-1pm 22nd November 2pm-4pm 4th December 11am-1pm 13th December 2pm-4pm

Trip to Cineworld for Classes 6, 7, 8,and 9. On Friday, as a wonderful treat for working so hard, children from Classes 6, 7, 8 and 9 had a very enjoyable day at Cineworld. They watched ‘Rock Dog’ and had a fantastic time! More cinema trips to follow! Win a Pudsey Bear or Blush Bear. 16th November Dress Down Day to raise money for Children in Need. Wear something SPOTTY! 50p per child £1.00 per family Raffle tickets are available to buy at 50p each. Please bring all raffle ticket money into class. Draw – Thursday 16 Nov.
