If a flight leaves from Montreal, Canada at 8:30 AM for Denver, CO which is two hours behind Montreal. If the air travel time is three hours, what time will the aircraft arrive in Denver? 9:30 am Time Zones Why is it important for travel agents to explain time zones to clients that are traveling to different parts of the world? Typically alters sleeping patterns.

International Date Line (IDL)

Heat Rain Fall Snowfall Wind Climate Conditions Climate Conditions- is a measure of the average pattern of variation in temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, precipitation, atmospheric particle count and other meteorological variables in a given region over long periods of time.

Climate in Geographic Locations Mountainous regions- colder climates and snow for longer periods of time. Ex. Attract winter sport athletes, snow ski resorts and snowboard retailers. Caribbean region- warmer climate year round and beaches. Ex. Attracts summer sport athletes, people who enjoy the beach, beach resorts and water sport equipment retailers.

Environmental Threats/Land Changes Water pollution Chemical runoff from rivers and mining debris from coastal ports affect the health of the Great Barrier Reef and the sea life of the Australian coastline. Beach erosion Storms, ocean currents remove land and shift sand and rocks on the coastline. Ex. New Orleans is below sea level increasing the risk of flooding. Improper waste Disposal
