Loads of animals (buffalo, antelope, fish, etc.) Loads of Plants (papaya, cocoa, tomato, CORN POTATOES, TREES) AMERICA TODAY SKIP FOR TIME CHANGES by EUROPEAN COLONISTS Cows, horses, pigs, sheep brought to Americas Overfishing European Crops (what, grapes, wheat, apples, barley, etc.) & Honeybee brought to the Americas Deforestation Diseases (Small Pox) brought to the Americas The COLUMBIAN EXCHANGE refers to a period of cultural and biological exchanges between the New World (North & South America) and Old Worlds (Europe, Asia & Africa). Exchanges of plants, animals, diseases and technology transformed European and Native American ways of life.
