WP progress to date As of the end of October 2006 (Month 24), all groups with study sites have completed field sampling. All groups are in the midst of processing samples and data.

Currents, Phytoplankton (from OAERRE) Hydrodynamics, water quality, Mussel growth data

Tasks Outstanding We anticipate that sample processing will be completed by February 2007 and a report summarizing all of the field data will be prepared thereafter. Data will be summarized using EXCEL spreadsheets and will be available to all ECASA partners. Candidate indicators and models described in the List of Indicators and in the Book of Models will be tested using these data, as described in WP4. Preparation of a Study Site Descriptor. We have drafted the format for a document that will serve as an extended and improved Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) statement, which will include computation of indicators, output from the model and appendices with the raw data obtained from the farm site during the recent field campaign. Each of the ECASA partners that studied a field site will compile a Study Site Descriptor and deliver this to the farmers at the end of the project.

WP5: Progress and update Need speedy analysis of all data by PI’s so that data (and the indicators!) may be tested Transfer of data from ea of the groups with WP5 data (recent/historical) to the modellers Preparation of a database in a standardized format (agreeable to all involved) summarizing all of the field data of ea group

Socioeconomic Indicators What is happening in this direction?? Latest update from David Whitmarsh?
