A Series of Unfortunate Events Book 2 - The Reptile Room Is a fictional book set in a fictional countryside Takes place in Dr. Montgomery Montgomery’s home Lousy Lane is a road that travels alongside the Grim River, outside of Tedia. The road stinks, due to a nearby horseradish factory. What you would see along Lousy Lane is gloomy, with the view being gray fields and the depressing river. Tedia is a small town just past Hazy Harbor on the Grim River. Grim River is almost entirely mud instead of water and is home to very disgusting fish.

A Series of Unfortunate Events Book 2 - The Reptile Room The Baudelaire children move in with their Uncle Monty All is well until Uncle Monty gets a new assistant named Stephano, also known as Count Olaf. A couple days before they all left for Peru Uncle Monty was killed. Sunny distracted Stephano, Mr. Poe and Dr. Lucafont by pretending that a snake named Deadly Viper was injecting poison into her to allow Violet time to find evidence that Stephano was count Olaf and responsible for killing Uncle Monty. Violet was able to find the evidence and change a very bad ending for Baudelaire family.
