What the Son has done in the Heavenly Realms:  18I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Eph. 1:18-23)

Our Position Before Christ: 2:1-3  1And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,  2in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.  3Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

Our Position BEFORE Christ: 2:1-3 We were dead in our trespasses and sins. We were children of wrath.

Our Position in Christ: 2:4-9 4But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Our Position in Christ NOW We are made us alive together with Christ We are raised us up with Him We are seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus

Christ’s Position Now: 4:8-10  8Therefore it says,          "WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH,          HE LED CAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES,          AND HE GAVE GIFTS TO MEN."  9(Now this expression, "He ascended," what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?  10He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.) (Eph. 4:8-10)

Christ’s Position Now: 4:8-10 He descended into the lower parts of the earth He ascended on High He ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.

What the Son has done 1) Jesus put His feet in the lower regions over Satan and crashed him 2) He put His head in the heavenly realms above any principality or power or any other name 3) He raised His body (the church) and seated it by His side in the heavenly places above all principalities

CHANGE OF POSITIONS IN THE HEAVENLIES Jesus inverted our position in the heavenly places: Former position: dead and locked inside the cosmic grave under the dominium of Satan- 2:1-3 Satan had all dominium in the heavenly places: the prince of the air Current position: (in Christ)- we are alive and seated with Him in the heavenly places. Satan is also under our feet now (2:4-7). Now, the church has the dominium through Christ.

WHAT THE HEAD DOES 22And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Christ was set up by the Father to be The HEAD over all things The HEAD was given to the church, which is His Body. The HEAD belongs to the Body now.

WHAT THE BODY DOES 22…and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23which is His body, the FULLNESS of Him who fills all in all. The HEAD was given to the church, which is His Body. The BODY is the FULLNESS (extensiveness, completeness) of the HEAD, Christ.

WHAT THE FEET DO The FEET of Jesus CRASHED Satan at the cross. The FEET of the Body of Christ (The Church) should keep that position and maintain Satan under its feet too. 22And He put all things in subjection under His feet, (Eph. 1:22) “The God of Peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.” Romans 16:20 Satan’s position NOW is under the feet of the church.

THE MESSAGE TO THE BODY 18I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might.

THE INHERITANCE OF CHRIST GIVEN TO THE BODY 18I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened SO THAT you will know: what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might.

THIS INHERITANCE WAS RELEASED WITH THE DEATH OF CHRIST AND IT IS FOR NOW What is the hope of Christ’s calling? Paul is talking about the calling of Christ for the church to be His Body in the world NOW and represent Him and establish His kingdom upon the foundation He has already laid through what He has already done (DEATH & RESURRECTION)

THIS INHERITANCE WAS RELEASED WITH THE DEATH OF CHRIST AND IT IS FOR NOW What are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints? Everything that belongs to the SON belongs to His Body NOW (THE RICHES sown in the heavenlies) “God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from HIS GLORIOUS RICHES, which have been given to US in CHRIST JESUS.” (Phil. 4:19)

THIS INHERITANCE WAS RELEASED WITH THE DEATH OF CHRIST AND IT IS FOR NOW What is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might. The power that is available for the BODY to operate from NOW on earth surpasses all other powers. This POWER is according to the strength of GOD ALMIGHT. This POWER is available for those who BELIEVE.

THE BODY HAS TO SEE Before the BODY can operate on that dimension it HAS TO SEE IT with the eyes of the heart and it HAS TO BELIEVE IT. That is why Paul prayed for the Ephesians: 18I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened SO THAT you will know…

THE BODY HAS TO PRAY IT WILL TAKE PRAYER TO OPEN OUR EYES TO SEE THE REVELATION AND TO BELIEVE IN IT, SO WE CAN OPERATE ON THAT DIMENSION

THE BODY HAS TO PRAY FROM ITS HEAVENLY POSITION SEATED WITH CHRIST

SON HAS TO PRAY FROM ITS HEAVENLY POSITION SEATED WITH CHRIST LETS PRAY TO THE HEAD TO OPEN OUR EYES TO SEE THIS REVELATION AND TO FILL OUR HEARTS WITH FAITH BELIEVE IN IT, SO WE CAN OPERATE ON THAT DIMENSION.
