God is kind towards us. Ephesians 4:32. “and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” 1 Corinthians 13:4. “Love is patient and kind.” Kindness is based on the loving heart of the giver, not the loving heart of the recipient. Kindness and Goodness are closely linked.

The kindness cost the Samaritan, in this case two denarii and possibly more. However, the act of kindness was within the resources of the Samaritan. The Samaritan followed through on his return journey. Kindness creates a connection that makes a place in your heart for the recipient and leaves you wondering about their welfare. (I suggest your heart grows.) The Samaritan was out of his comfort zone and I believe acting in faith. Kindness is a way of sharing your faith. In some cases actions speak louder than words.
