Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities Urban Angels - Every evening from 6pm-7:30pm Feeding San Diego - varying times during the week AS Food Pantry - Wednesday and Thursday from 10am-3pm Food Recovery Network - Wednesday and Friday 8:45am-10am Each of these opportunities is worth 3 points each time you go! Consistent volunteering looks great on your resume as well as your DICAS application! Open to offering points for nutrition/health related service Also really stress that volunteer opportunities don’t have to be hard or excessive. They just need to get approval.

Alexis Beltran, RD Alexis graduated from San Diego State University in May 2014 with her Bachelors of Science in Foods and Nutrition Registered Dietitian at Chula Vista Elementary School District puts together menus for grades K-8 and 9-12, implements nutrition education in the classroom, and supervises food service staff teaches children and the community about different nutrition topics and living a healthy lifestyle
