Target Market The target market is the group of customers that you are aiming at., the sort of people that you think will want to buy the product that you are advertising. Target customers can be grouped by: Where they live – local businesses want to attract local customers Gender, age, income, occupation, education, household size, and stage in the family life cycle similar attitudes, values, and lifestyles – hobbies and interests You need to know as much about your target market as possible in order to make advertising that will attract them to the product that you are trying to advertise. TASK The following slides all show phone adverts. Have a look at them and see if you can decide which sort of people you think the adverts are aimed at.
