Proposed Operational Mapping

Future State Modeling Outgoing Priority Current: Changes: All Outgoing Priority is processed at Busse for 463, 464, 600-608, 610, 611 International and Military Outgoing Priority processed at ISC Inbound Foreign transferred to Busse via ISC Changes: No Change

Future State Modeling Outgoing SPRs Current: Changes: All Outgoing SPRs are processed at NDC for 463, 464, 600-608, 610, 611 ISC works Int’l Import and Export SPRs Changes: Busse works Outgoing SPRs for 606-608 Carol Stream works Outgoing SPRs for 601, 603 NDC works Outgoing SPRs for 463, 464, 600, 602, 604, 605, 610, 611 Busse, Carol Stream, and NDC serve as offload locations for Int’l Import SPRs from ISC

Benefits: Outgoing Priority and SPRs Future State Modeling Benefits: Outgoing Priority and SPRs Benefits: Keeps OGP Priority intact to benefit from the economies of scale of an AMP By increasing the number of processing locations and package capacity for outgoing SPRs, this plan addresses the WOO over-capacity issue for Outgoing Priority and Outgoing SPRs. Provides a more service responsive and cost-efficient processing network for Import SPRs

Future State Modeling Incoming Priority Current: Changes: Indianapolis MPA works Air & Surface 463, 464 Milwaukee MPA works Air & Surface 610, 611 NDC works Air & Surface 604, 605 Busse works Air & Surface 600-603 Busse works partial Air & Surface 606-608 Cardiss works partial Air & Surface 606-608 Changes: Carol Stream works Air & Surface 601, 603 Palatine works Air & Surface 600, 602 Busse works Air 606-608 Cardiss works Surface 606-608

Future State Modeling Incoming SPRs Current: Changes: Indianapolis MPA works 463, 464 Milwaukee MPA works 610, 611 NDC works 604, 605 Busse works 600-603, 606-608 Changes: NDC works 463, 464, 604, 605 (Post OWC for 463/464) Carol Stream works 601, 603 Palatine works 600, 602 Cardiss works 606-608

Benefits: Incoming Priority and SPRs Future State Modeling Benefits: Incoming Priority and SPRs Benefits: This plan provides a more effective “Management Line of Sight” because each District will be responsible for their own incoming processing of Priority and SPRs for Machineable, NMOs, and IPPs. (With the exception of SPRs for 463/464 processed by CIL for GID). This plan addresses the WOO over-capacity issue for Destinating Priority and Destinating SPRs. In the event package growth continues to expand, Fox Valley and South Suburban could also become a processing node for destinating 605 and 604, respectively.

Future State Modeling Incoming PER Current: Changes: Gary works 463, 464 NDC works 604, 605 Busse works 600-603, 610, 611 Cardiss works 606-608 Changes: NDC works 463, 464, 604 (Post OWC for 463/464) Fox works 601, 603, 605 Busse works 606-608 (FSS zones to South Suburban and Non-FSS to Cardiss) Palatine works 600, 602, 610, 611

Incoming STD Flats Bundles Future State Modeling Incoming STD Flats Bundles Current: NDC works 463, 464, 604, 605 Busse works 600-603, 610, 611 Cardiss works 606-608 Changes: NDC works 463, 464, 604 Fox works 601, 603, 605 Busse works 606-608 (FSS zones to South Suburban and Non-FSS to Cardiss) Palatine works 600, 602, 610, 611

Benefits: Incoming PER and STD Future State Modeling Benefits: Incoming PER and STD Benefits: This plan provides a more effective “Management Line of Sight” because each District will be responsible for their own opening unit work for all STD SCF Letters and PER/STD SCF Flat Bundles (except Gary which is worked by CIL at the NDC). Expands the WOO for FSS processing of STD and PER bundles which will result in cost savings for the USPS and provide a platform for improved service performance particularly for PERs for 600-603, 605, 610, and 611. Reduces the volume of bundles being processed on the Busse APPS machines thus easing the wear and tear on these critical assets.
