‘Community Development Approach’ Listening Matter’s !! ‘Community Development Approach’ Baseline information for centre program –funding bids - aims and objectives of ICI What do you like about Inverkip ? Any concerns about the area you live in ? Plans are in place to build a new community centre in Inverkip, what resources and activities would you would you like to see in it for kids, young people, adults & over 55’s? Do you feel you have a say in your community ? Would you like to get involved & receive further information One to One survey’s 25 Carried out at Xmas Lights Inverkip Primary Mailed door survey’s in partnership with Your Voice 80 completed & returned Group survey’s Carried out with Venture Scouts & Cubs - 40 Survey Monkey online survey not great response to date …… 145 surveys carried out so far

‘Lack of things for teenagers & kids to do’ Thanks for Listening Gym & playpark facilities, rooms you can hire for parties functions etc, exercise classes and general hub for all ages ‘First time I spoke for the community, no previous contact to voice my opinion’ ‘Speed calming on the main road many drivers don’t understand that the primary school is so close’ ‘Its Quite ,nice walks, great outdoor life good school ,nice community great scout group’ ‘Community Newsletter would help to stimulate interest’ ‘Need to listen to the community if the centre is to be a success, don’t get stuck behind the times’ ‘Craft classes ,fitness ie pilates,yoga,kettle bells, gym, facilities to hire out halls for parties ect’ ‘Stop Building houses’ ‘Lack of things for teenagers & kids to do’ ‘Skills development classes such as IT, Sign Languages ‘ ‘Used to have a centre I hope it’s a success beyond its first 3yrs but I wont hold my breath’ ‘I would like to get involved but have two young kids most people in same boat I would try to make time’ ‘A facebook page would be good’
