Book Review Probuditi by Chris Van Allsburg shows a boy named Calvin that hypnotized his sister Trudy. Trudy is a little girl that is spoiled and annoying. Well that’s what Calvin says. Calvin went to the theater to see Mr. Lomax. Lomax is a magician he hypnotized a women and turned her into a chicken . Calvin went back home Calvin turned some toys into a hypnotizer. Then his sister sat on a chair after that they stared to spin the wheel .Calvin took his hand and waved it she didn’t blink so they said act like a dog and she did. Probuditi is similar because other books have reality fantasy reality twist like just a dream because in the beginning he throw the bag on the floor that littering. And when he was going to throw the trash he didn’t sort it he put it in one can he was to lazy to do it. Probuditi is different then others books because he makes you think that it’s real but it is not . Because almost all the books the magic is real because in this book it is not real because Trudy was faking it.

Plot Chart reality fantasy twist Calvin scared his sister Trudy with a spider on Calvin birthday. He got two tickets to see Mr. Lomax. Lomax hypnotized a women to a chicken. Calvin hypnotized his sister Trudy to a dog. Took Trudy outside on a wagon to Mr. Lomax. To ask Mr. Lomax to turn Trudy back to a girl . Calvin dumped water on Trudy to wake her up then Rodney told Calvin if she remembered she was not hypnotized but is she didn't remember she was hypnotized .but Trudy remembered the ice cream she ate on the way to Mr. Lomax.

Sign Posts The sign post is aha moment because at the end she was not hypnotized she was just faking it. The author is telling us that magic is not real and at the beginning Calvin put a rubber spider on Trudy so now it’s pay back time. How is Trudy so smart?
