Rights Violations By Jacob Zoerhoff
Driving In Saudi Arabia, woman may not drive. It’s not just in law, but greatly in part due to the culture. In some areas, woman are expected to get permission to even travel.
Education In Pakistan, the Taliban bars woman from schooling. 134 schools admitting girls have been burned. Those who still can go to school don’t for fear of being attacked. http://www.semissourian.com/gallery/3427
Working Conditions The Taliban has gone as far as preventing employment of women. Even in the U.S, woman only earn about 78% of that of men with equivalent jobs. The wage gap is even larger when comparing equal doctorates, or equal high degrees. http://conservativebyte.com/2013/05/obama-calls-for-strategy-to-combat-gender-pay-gap/
Help There are organizations out to fix these problems. The National Organization For Woman is about to reach it’s 50th year of service. Equality Now and other groups are all dedicated to fixing problems like these.
