Safety Is held in the highest regard by Calshot Activity Centre The centre operates within guidelines set out by National Governing Bodies and standards laid down by Hampshire County Council. All Calshot teaching staff are fully qualified and first aid trained.

Accommodation and Safety All children sleep in an accommodation house (Lawrence House) which has key pads for the main entrance. Staff from Crestwood will be sleeping in rooms located on the same corridors as the students. A security officer makes regular external patrols at night. The site is scanned with CCTV cameras and the main entrance to the hall is locked at night. The duty manager is located in our accommodation house and will sleep there overnight.

Sleeping Arrangements The children will sleep in the accommodation block with rooms varying in size from 2-4. Students have been asked for preferences on who they would like to share a room with. I am doing my best to ensure everyone is with the people they selected. Students will spend very little time in their rooms, as they will be so busy with activities.

Eating Arrangements Communal dining hall 3 meals a day as well as snacks in between activities. Hearty meals with lots of choice including vegetarian options. There is a “no nuts” policy on site. Students should bring a water bottle to each activity.

Pocket Money, Mobile Phones etc £10 pocket money should be sufficient for a small souvenir or any snacks from the Calshot shop. Mobile Phones ARE allowed but they will be the student's responsibility. Children should not bring electronic devices such as ipads. Ensure all items of clothing are named.
