Summary Estimate the prevalence of alcohol and drug use among persons with HIV in the U.S. Based on data published in 2017 we know the prevalence of any substance use is 48% Estimate the prevalence of alcohol and drug use among persons with HIV in Florida Prevalence in Florida is similar on many substance but higher for cocaine/crack Identify the relationship of alcohol and drug use with HIV treatment outcomes Durable viral suppression appears to be negatively impacted by substance use Discuss intervention techniques for substance use disorder in people living with HIV MFR-DPF
