ALGEBRA 1 WELCOME

WHAT TO DO TODAY PICK UP THE ALGEBRA 1 SYLLABUS. PICK UP 21 QUESTIONS WORKSHEET AND THE PROFICIENCY TEST COMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS AS INSTRUCTED. REGISTER FOR MY REMIND GROUP

CLASSROOM KEYS TO SUCCESS Be in class before the 2 minute warning bell rings. Bring your supplies to class daily. Participate actively and properly in class. Treat all people and property with respect. Keep an open mind!

HEADING PAPERS ALL ASSIGNMENTS TURNED IN SHOULD CONTAIN THE HEADING ON THE TOP RIGHT SIDE OF THE PAPER WHICH INCLUDES: STUDENT’S FULL NAME DATE TEACHER’S NAME SECTION/PERIOD

GRADING pOLICY

Two grades required each week. GRADING POLICY DAILY WORK 60% TESTS/PROJECTS 40% Two grades required each week.

GRADES BELLRINGER EACH DAY IN COMPOSITION FOLDER 5=100 EXIT QUIZ EVERYDAY QUIZ OVER ASSIGNMENTS BINDER CHECK 100 POINTS

PROCEDURES Homework is turned in at the teacher’s request. In case of an absence, it is the student’s responsibility to schedule make-up tests and quizzes outside of class time. Homework assignments are to be turned in the first day you return to school. PENCIL should be used on all papers handed in for grading and they must have the proper heading.

PROCEDURES (continued) There will be a bell ringer at the beginning of each class and must be completed 3 minutes after the tardy bell rings. Every class will end with an exit activity which is your ticket out of class. Write the objective on your notes at the beginning of each instructional period.
