Course Topics Course goal: To imbue in students an appreciation for the ways in which computing innovations impact our daily lives, for better and for worse. “Computational thinking practices.” Curriculum: “CS Matters” (designed by UMBC). Can be viewed at csmatters.org.

Grading No more weighting of categories! Summative assessments will now account for ~65-70% of a quarter grade. Tests/quizzes will always be announced ~1 week in advance. Longer papers/projects will be announced 2-3 weeks in advance. Current grades are available on BCPS One. Copies of materials can be found on PBworks: http://apcspths.pbworks.com

AP Exam Three components: “Explore” performance task (16%) due April 30. “Create” performance task (24%) due April 30. Two-hour, 70-question multiple-choice exam (60%) to be administered at noon on Friday, May 5, 2017.
