General Meeting Information How much are fees for HawkTrade and why do I have to pay them? Fees for the semester are $20 and go towards covering costs for pizza at each meeting, investment competition prizes, website expenses, and other club related expenses. Your fees will always be reinvested into club activities/events/prizes and never into anyone’s pocket How often and at what time do HawkTrade meetings occur? HawkTrade meets weekly throughout the semester except during holiday’s (ie. Thanksgiving or Spring Break). We aim to meet at 6:30pm on Wednesday’s, however may sometimes meet at a different time or different day of the week depending on where/when we can reserve space What is the general layout of HawkTrade meetings? Our meetings can be very flexible depending on what members would like to talk about, however a general layout will include 5 – 10 minutes of general market news/discussion followed by 30 – 45 minutes of more in depth conversation on a specific topic/security/news event/etc… Pizza will be served upon conclusion of the meeting outside the classroom

Investment Competition What is the investment competition? The investment competition is a semester long portfolio competition in which members are given a $100,000 simulated (unfortunately…) portfolio with which to invest in any stocks of their choosing Further details on the specific rules will be given at next weeks meeting, but past competitions have included both long/short capabilities as well as other rules How long is it/what are the prizes? The competition will begin after next week’s meeting and will go until the day before our last meeting. Prize details will be given at a future meeting.

Professional Opportunities Resume Workshopping/Mock Interviews Professional Trip Resume Workshopping We plan to do at least 2 resume workshops, one prior to the career fair, and another prior to the application deadline for Hawkinson. These may occur within or outside our normal meeting times Mock Interviews These are more likely to occur on a first come first served basis, however we may have a more general interview prep session for the entire org.
