Answer: Metastatic inguinal lymphadenopathy The findings are most consistent with metastatic inguinal lymphadenopathy, a common site of metastasis for tumors located in the lower extremities, pelvis, and back. Enlarged lymph nodes are not always visible, but should be palpable. This patient died 3 months after presentation, following a diagnosis of metastatic malignant melanoma that had arisen on the back.
