IDEATION Techniques (Generating solutions) Brain storming The team work on a problem for a limited amount of time. No criticism is allowed with in the amount of time No judgments over ideas with in the time Quantity of ideas is considered but not quality Can be individual or group Keep in mind silly ideas can bring the better solutions some time

Brainwritting In this method the person write his ideas on the sheet of paper and after some time pass it on to the next person . The second person will work on the “ already generated idea”. Method has potential to create very innovative ideas. Has the draw back that there may be a premature criticism.

Mind Mapping In this an individual person will visualize his thought process of the specific problem solution. a diagram in which information is represented visually, usually with a central idea placed in the middle and associated ideas arranged around it. The ideas and aspects related to the central theme are found and how the aspects are related are also shown.

WHAT IS BIOMIMETICS? Biomimetics is the term used to describe the substances, equipment, mechanism and systems by which humans imitate natural systems and designs.

Biomimicry originates from two Greek words Bios = Life Mimesis= imitate Biomimicry operates on the principle that in its 3.8 billion year history, nature has already found solutions to many problems we are trying to solve. Biomimicry is multi-disciplinary subject involving wide diversity of other domains like architecture, electronics, medicines, biology, chemistry, mathematics etc.
