Muscle strength was measured in the nondominant deltoid muscle (see Methods). The statistical differences between the groups were as follows: group A compared with groups B, C, D, and E ( < 0.001, < 0.007, < 0.002, and < 0.001, respectively); group B compared with groups C, D, and E ( > 0.2, > 0.2, < 0.01, respectively); group C compared with groups D and E ( > 0.2 and < 0.01); and group D compared with group E ( < 0.005).
