Trained Quality Manager to develop and implement a conformant accreditation body quality system Trained Assessors to develop Assessor Pool by the assistance of UNIDO. observed APLAC-PAC Joint General Assembly meetings.

Awareness Workshops on Accreditation By the assistance of PTB (Germany), Accreditation division held on awareness workshop on Accreditation for high ranking officials at Nay Pyi Taw and also workshops for Regulators and Laboratories at DRI.

PT programs for Laboratories For Laboratories development, Accreditation division conducted (1st-7th ) Proficiency Testing Program with Indonesia Institute of Science by the assistance of PTB (Germany). Accreditation division organized laboratories to participate Joint APMP-APLAC Proficiency Testing Programme in Food Supplement and Organochlorine Pesticides.

BUILDING ASSESSOR POOL To develop competent assessors, Accreditation division organized 1st Lead Assessor Course in 2016 and 2nd Lead Assessor Course in 2017 by the assistance of UNIDO. 1st Lead Assessor Training 22-26 August 2016 2nd Lead Assessor Training 11-15 June 2017

MNAB Assessment Accreditation Assessment Team conducted mock assessment at Microbiological Laboratory of FDA (Yangon)in 2017.

MNAB Assessment Accreditation Assessment Team conducted mock assessment : Microbiological Laboratory of FDA (Naypyitaw) Food Inspection Development Support Laboratory from UMFCCI.

MNAB Assessment Accreditation Assessment Team conducted mock assessment : Chemistry and Microbiology Laboratories of FDA (Naypyitaw). Microbiology Laboratory under Fisheries Inspection and Quality Control Department. Food Inspection Development Support Laboratory from UMFCCI.

Accreditation Assessment Team conducted Pre- assessment : MNAB Assessment Accreditation Assessment Team conducted Pre- assessment : Plant Protection Laboratory under Ministry of Agriculture , Livestock and Irrigation. National Analytical Laboratory from Department of Research and Innovation under Ministry of Education.

ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited Laboratory Fisheries Department from Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and irrigation achieved ISO /IEC 17025 Accreditation certificate in 2014. Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory from Ministry of Health achieved ISO /IEC 17025 Accreditation certificate in 2016.

Joint Accreditation DRI has signed Memorandum of Understanding with Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) on 8th June, 2017 to perform joint accreditation with MNAB to be internationally recognized.

Cooperate with CNCA Currently, Department of Research and Innovation (DRI) negotiates to sign MoU with Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) to strengthen cooperation on certification and accreditation within their respective scopes of competence and establish cooperation mechanism; to promote technical capacity in the fields of certification and accreditation between the Parties.
