What does PBIS stand for? Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.

WHAT DOES PBIS MEAN TO WILLOW? We developed a PBIS team that will help transform our school culture, rules, and behavior interventions to ensure that all stakeholders are on the same page. Most importantly, to motivate students to come to school so that they become the best citizens and learners.

PBIS TEAM Kinder- Mr. Galante 1st- Ms. Dorado and Ms. Cuevas 2nd- Ms. Teresa Rodriguez 3rd – Ms. Alejandra Rodriguez 4th- Ms. Ordaz 5th- Ms. Bisaga 6th- Ms. Gomez Special Ed- Irma Beltran

What does It mean to be a Roadrunner? BE RESPECTFUL! BE RESPONSIBLE! BE SAFE!

Three School Rules Be Respectful – relates to compliance to teacher requests and positive peer and adult relationships. Be Responsible – addresses school efforts such as being ready for class, completing work, and keeping the school and classroom clean and orderly. Be Safe- implies a feeling of social, emotional, and physical safety and creates a feeling of belonging. All expectations must be regularly taught and reviewed.

Integrating Character Counts into the School Culture Character development should be part of the everyday school curriculum and our three rules will be embedded.

Terrific Slips Terrific Slips have been revised to include our three school rules and our character traits. Teachers will use terrific slips during the day to praise positive behavior. Slips will be collected Friday afternoons and turned into the office. A prize will be raffled each Monday. Please carry your TRRFCC slips at all times.

Willow Bucks Willow Bucks will be an incentive given to students by the supporting staff. Custodians, office staff, supervisors, and security guard. WillowMart will be opened twice a month (15th & 30th) after school and students will be able to buy prizes.
