AMAF Guidance It is acknowledged it will take portfolio agencies effort and time to implement the AMAF A transition period applies for compliance; agencies are to publicly attest AMAF compliance in their 2017-18 annual report – as at 30 June 2018 The DTF AMAF Implementation guidance document covers: AMAF operating environment practitioner guidance useful resources glossary appendices

Implementation Guidance Appendix A – Typical Contents of an Asset Management Strategy: identified are the Asset Management Strategy (Part A - Strategic) and the Asset Management Strategy (Part B - Tactical) strategic part equates to your agency’s Asset Management Policy that sets vision and direction to drive your organisation’s asset management system and activities tactical part is equivalent to your strategic asset management plan and documents the scope of your asset management system and its integration of asset management and other business functions (finance, risk, procurement, HR)

Implementation Guidance Appendix B – Typical Contents of an Asset Management Plan: identifies activities undertaken on assets an operational plan for activities and actions over a shorter-term to deliver the Asset Management Strategy: for health services with simple/ modest holdings – basically your BAMPs for health services with major/ complex holdings – your BAMPs along with other performance and assurance requirements
