SACM Online courses 12 hour limit for undergraduates Only when there is no other option Required for their degree Students do not have to use all 12 hours letter from academic advisors is required for their request to SACM for an online course approval Must receive approval from sacm before the term starts
SACM online courses (cont’D) Students must also have an updated overall fg (which covers face to face courses) even if they are only taking online courses for a certain term Students are not allowed to take online courses at other institutions during their degree program Students that exceed the 12 hours (even if they self-financed some courses) may be jeopardizing the authentication of their degree by the ministry of education after they return home
Sacm – Cross-Enrollment at other institutions Course enrollment at another institution is only permitted during the summer semester Must be face-to-face The student must place a request to SACM for enrollment in the course and receive a financial guarantee for the school to which they plan to enroll The request to SACM may require a letter from the academic adviser must be a course not offered by WKU during the summer Required for their degree/major Verification that credit will be able to transfer in to WKU Students must request a SEVIS letter from the ISO through iSTart
Sacm – other updates Major changes: Students are only allowed to enroll in classes after the change of major has been approved by SACM Kindly use new form letter for any sacm student request – online courses, change of major, scholarship extension Please email wes or me if you need the form
