Presentation transcript:

Textual Evidence and image analysis

Read closely to determine what the text says explicitly (obvious) and to make logical inferences (educated guesses/conclusions) from it; cite specific textual evidence when writing or speaking to support conclusions drawn from the text. Analyze an image closely to determine what it conveys explicitly and to make logical inferences from it; cite specific visual evidence when writing or speaking to support conclusions drawn from the image.

Today’s Learning Objective By the end of this lesson, you will be able to use evidence from the image (soldier photograph) to help you make inferences and conclusions.

What do I have to demonstrate? You are able to make connections between your own knowledge and evidence from the text and/or images to make inferences about what is happening or will happen. We will use these inferences to help us make predictions. (forecast the future)

Predictions of what is happening or will happen TEXT AND/OR IMAGE/S
