Prayer – Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus Potomac Believers Fellowship Prayer – Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus October 29, 2017 Hebrews 12:1-2

Prayer – Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus Hebrews 12:1-2 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Prayer – Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus Mark 6:41 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all

Prayer – Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus John 11:38-42 38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. 39 “Take away the stone,” he said. “But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.” 40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” 41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

Prayer – Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus Jeremiah 27:5 With my great power and outstretched arm I made the earth and its people and the animals that are on it, and I give it to anyone I please.

Prayer – Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus Acts 17:27-28 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.

Prayer – Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus Acts 17:28 “He doesn’t play hide and seek with us. He’s not remote; he’s near. We live and move in Him, can’t get away from Him.” The Message

Prayer – Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus Acts 17:28 “He is not far any one of us. For in him we live and move and exist.” The New Living Translation

Prayer – Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus Romans 5:6-8 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
