Task B – An Existing Website Fly-A-Way travel would like you to write a report on an existing travel website to gain ideas for there own new site Task B consists of 3 parts Part 1 – Reviewing existing Website Part 2 – Structure of your chosen website Part 3 – Code Annotation

Task B - Part 1 – Report Content Choose an existing travel website and write a report covering the following points: Describe the purpose of the website (mark band 1 – 3) Who is the audience What the company expects the website to do Why is it there Describe a range of services offered to visitors of the website (mark band 1 – 3) Analyses of how well the site meets its purpose (mark band 3) Show how at least two different web technologies are being used by the site and comment upon the benefits to visitors they offer (mark band 1 – 3)

Services offered by Website Contact via email Register for offers provide up-to-date news on holiday destinations Holiday Reviews Find dream holiday (search holidays available around your needs) The services provided need to be described.

Internet Technologies Internet technologies include: PHP, ASP, CGI, Java, DHTML, flash, databases, etc. You need to identify 2 of these technologies that are used in the website, describe how they are used and, if you can, explain their use – what is their function, why have they been used instead of HTML. (mark band 1 – 3)

Report Remember to organise your work clearly with suitable titles, headings or labels. Number the pages to continue on from Task A. You should also make sure your name is on each page.
