Objectives & Means KASSETTS aims at: 8/27/2018 Objectives & Means KASSETTS aims at: optimising transport and logistics activities, increasing the competitiveness of SMEs and, lowering the environmental impact of transport, through: the development of powerful ICT tools for collaborative logistics, the creation of a permanent network of stakeholders and the formation of an EU operative ICT network of logistics brokers The project is implemented through the CENTRAL EUROPE Program co-financed by the ERDF.

The Logistic Broker Not a new logistic operator neither a 3PL or 4PL. An intermediary subject between manufacturing companies and transport providers. Supported by a network platform enabling the broker: to organize transport demand, assist manufacturing companies by planning efficient transportation solution, to make use of economics of scale.

The Logistic Broker The broker constantly collects scattered orders coming from associated manufacturing SMEs, Plans transport missions more times per day by: comparing this demand with offers of logistics operators, computing and submiting optimized transport solutions to user SMEs and transport operators. Periodically sends pro-forma invoices to improve visibility of transport costs and services.

Benefits: optimisation of regional, national and trans-national transports cost savings for user SMEs less kilometres run by vehicles (with decreasing transport emissions).
